Title: Fellowship Coordinator
Reports To: Lead Pastor

Anticipated Time Commitments:
2- 3 hours a week
9 - 12 hours a month

Compensation: Unpaid

POSITION PURPOSE
The fellowship coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the members are connecting with one another and building community through a strong and healthy small e-Group ministry.
​

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fellowship Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and implementing the Surge Fellowship e-Group Programs. Facilitates all Fellowship Program activities, maintains contact with the Fellows, coordinates mentorship and personally provides mentorship to the Fellows, The Fellowship Coordinator will work with the fellowship board and report directly with the Lead Pastor. He/she should lead by example, and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the fellowship. The Fellowship Coordinator and the lead pastor will be the primary contact for the Fellowship members. Whether a formal or informal mentoring relationship is established, the Fellowship Coordinator should be sure to model good leadership for the Fellows. They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of their own. In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the Vision of our fellowship.

Fellowship Coordinators are asked to commit to at least one (1) year term to provide consistency. At the end of their term, the Fellowship Coordinator may reapply. It is not guaranteed that the Fellowship Coordinator will be selected again; a call for applications will still go out to the general membership every year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To lead teams of small group leaders in the growth of a healthy small group ministry that aligns with the fellowship’s mission and identity while seeking to foster deep relational connections and spiritual growth.
- In coordination with the lead pastor and board responsible for the development of a strategy that ensures the growth and health of the small group ministry.
- Responsible to provide support, encouragement, and leadership for all small groups.

Responsible for the implementation of small groups leadership and programs.

Serve as a direct point of contact with all small groups.

Responsible for the planning and execution of small group connection events.
-
Responsible for providing ongoing communication with members regarding the importance, benefits, and availability of the small group ministry.

Responsible for the design and implementation of an assimilation strategy for visitors and newcomers, inviting them to serve and connect in deeper ways.

In coordination with the board, encourage members to actively participate in the fellowship’s mission and purpose.

The Fellowship Coordinator will take an active leadership role in scheduling and facilitating group meetings, and calls.
